Subject: Request for one month’s leave
Sir,
Most respectfully, I beg leave to state that I cannot attend college for one month. The reason is that my father is going to perform Hajj this month. In his absence, there is no one to look after my mother who is a heart patient and suffered a severe heart attack last month. She has been under treatment since then and cannot perform the domestic chores properly. The doctor has advised her complete bed rest.
I enclose her medical certificate herewith. I request you to give me one month’s leave from April 1, 2009 to May 1, 2009. I shall be very thankful to you for this act of kindness.
